Kingsley Coman is reportedly being lined up by Manchester City to fill the void if Leroy Sané leaves the club.
The Germany international has been heavily linked with a return to his homeland to join Bayern Munich.
But it may be the Bundesliga champions who hold the key to City’s replacement for Sané, with one of their own wingers now a man in demand in Manchester.
Sky Sports News claim that the Citizens are ‘considering a move’ for Coman if the former Schalke man joins Bayern next summer as expected.
He did appear close to that deal this year before a cruciate ligament injury put paid to any transfer and will sideline him for much of the season.
Pep Guardiola has previously worked with the man viewed as an ideal replacement, having coached Coman for a year in his final campaign at the Allianz Arena.
The France international has already featured for several top clubs in his career despite being aged just 23.
Prior to making the move to Germany, he starred for Juventus, who he joined after breaking through at Paris Saint-Germain.
