Manchester City target Serie A's Portuguese standout

Manchester City are reportedly looking to strengthen their backline with Inter Milan’s last season standout, João Cancelo.

Top Calcio claims that the Premier League champions are ready to make a €45 million offer for the Portuguese right back.

Cancelo was loaned to Inter from Valencia, and he impressed with the Milan side that secured a Champions League spot for next season after beating Lazio in the last Matchday of Serie A.

Inter have the priority to sign the 24 year old defender, as they have an option to make the temporary loan a permanent move.

Cancelo was included in Portugal’s World Cup 35-man preliminary squad, but didn’t make it to the final 23-man squad that will be playing in Russia 2018.
