Manchester City will reportedly open contract talks with Raheem Sterling following his exceptional start to the new season.
Sterling has been one of the very best players in Europe so far this term, scoring 14 goals and assisting a further five in just 17 appearances.
The England international is already one of the best-paid players in the division, raking in £300,000-per-week from a deal he signed in November 2018.
But according to several sources, including the Mirror and the Metro, City are planning to sit down with the forward in the coming weeks and offer him further improved terms.
They hope to keep the 24-year-old at the Etihad for at least another three years despite the club privately admitting that Sterling will likely try and move to Spain at some point in the future.
