Pérez has been described as an ‘astonishing talent’ and despite not making a senior appearance, is training regularly with the Sevilla first team.
According to Marca, the 19-year-old could leave the LaLiga club due to a surprisingly cheap release clause in his current contract.
Sevilla, however, are keen to secure Pérez’s long term future and have initiated talks with his representatives.
City have Benjamin Mendy and Oleksandr Zinchenko at left back but neither have convinced when afforded opportunities this season.
Ajax and RB Leipzig have also expressed an interest.
