News out of Italy could be good for Premier League giants Manchester United and Arsenal.
Both clubs are looking for a sporting director as they look to rebuild and climb out of disappointing times.
For United, the appointment would work alongside a new manager, helping return the club to the very top of the Premier League.
Arsenal, meanwhile, need to replace former head of recruitment Sven Mislintat with someone who has a good understanding with Unai Emery.
Monchi has been linked with the two clubs and could be on the way out of Roma this summer.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Serie A side will decide on Monchi’s future by the end of the season.
Famed for his success with Sevilla, Monchi’s negotiation abilities and eye for talent were key as Emery led the LaLiga club to three Europa League titles. Could the pair be reunited in north London?
Or will Manchester United manage to entice him?
Whatever happens, it seems realistic that he will be on his way to England come the summer and both clubs will jostle to hire the transfer expert.
