Officials from Manchester City are set for discussions with their Wigan counterparts after a pitch invasion saw Sergio AgĂĽero confronted by a fan.
The Latics knocked the Premier League side out of the FA Cup on Monday evening thanks to a second half goal from Will Grigg.
But the big talking point of the evening happened after the match when a group of fans came on to the pitch at the DW Stadium and entered into an altercation with the Argentine striker.
City officials want to talk with those at Wigan in the coming days, as they believe the security arrangements at the match weren’t adequate enough and endangered the safety of their players.
A report by Goal on Tuesday morning has claimed that those high up at City are unhappy with the League One club and will make that known in the coming days.
The Citizens believe that measures should have been in place to stop supporters coming on to the field and want an explanation as to why that happened.
