Wigan Athletic gave an outstanding account of themselves in the first half of their FA Cup fifth round clash with Manchester City and a red card on the stroke of half-time has given the League One side a great chance of causing a huge upset.

With the score level at 0-0 heading into the interval, Fabian Delph was shown a straight red card for a sliding tackle on Max Power.

Referee Anthony Taylor initially pulled out a yellow card only to change his mind and send the left-back for an early bath – a decision which divided fans and pundits alike.

City boss Pep Guardiola clashed with his Latics counterpart Paul Cook as the two sides left the field for half-time, and we should be in for a very interesting second half indeed.
