Tottenham’s offer for Tanguy Ndombele has been deemed subpar by Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas.

The enigmatic man in charge of the French side has warned the Champions League finalists that they must increase their bid if they want the France international.

Spurs aren’t the only side interested in Ndombele but are believed to be among the frontrunners for his signature.

In fact, Standard Sport report that Ndombele is Tottenham’s number one transfer priority of the summer but their efforts so far have been in vain.

“Nothing has been decided for Tanguy Ndombele’s future,” Aulas told reporters, quoted by Get French Football News.

“We’ve had a lot of offers but none of them meet my expectations.”

Spurs value the 22-year-old at €50m but that is some way short of the price Aulas wants for one of his prized assets.

A report in the Guardian claimed that Lyon are seeking a fee closer to €75m if they are to cash in on Ndombele this summer.

Aulas is a notoriously difficult negotiator, meaning Spurs will have their work cut out for them to get their man.
