Luis Suárez says any player would relish the opportunity to play under Jürgen Klopp.
But the Uruguayan striker says he will always have a special place in his heart for the Premier League outfit.
“Anyone who has ever played at Liverpool remains connected to the club for a lifetime,” he told German outlet 11Freunde.
“The team plays terrific football and I am very interested to see how they do this year. I think we can still expect a lot.”
The Reds are currently four points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table and there is a feeling of optimism on Merseyside that a first league title since 1990 could be coming in May.
And Suárez admits he is a huge admirer of the man currently at the Anfield helm.
“Currently we work for two different clubs, so that’s not an issue for me at the moment,” he said.
“But yes, every player would like to train under Jürgen Klopp.”
