Luis Fernando Tena set to manage Chivas for the 2020 Clausura campaign

Luis Fernando Tena has breathed new life into Chivas since taking over for Tomás Boy and now he is set to be rewarded.

According to RÉCORD, Chivas president Amaury Vergara has given his approval for Tena to continue as manager for the 2020 Clausura campaign.

Sporting director Ricardo Peláez will reportedly notify the strategist of the decision during the course of this week so that they may continue planning for the upcoming campaign.

When asked in an interview today whether or not there was a better person for the job, Tena confidently endorsed himself.

“I am not the best, I am the ideal. I feel very good, the players have received me very well in addition to the board of directors.

“I feel very comfortable working with this group of Mexicans, who are very capable. It is a better team than I thought, players who are better than I previously saw on the pitch.”

Since being in charge, Tena has led Chivas to three wins, three draws, and two losses in all competitions and has his club chasing a Liguilla place heading into their final match of the season against Veracruz.
