Liverpool will look to add English goalkeeper Nick Pope this summer and will open their pursuit with an initial  €20m offer.

Amid uncertainty with goalkeepers Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius, The Sun reports Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp is on the lookout for a new recruit.

Liverpool’s inquiry into Roma’s shot-stopper Alisson, who is with the Brazil squad at the World Cup, was rebuffed when the Italian club stood firm on their €20m80m valuation.

Pope, who is also in Russia for the World Cup with England, would be a much cheaper option for the Reds and Burnley may not put up much of a fight to keep the 26-year old goalkeeper.

Sean Dyche’s men are thought to be more willing to entertain offers for Pope with fellow goalkeeper Tom Heaton returning to fitness after a long-term shoulder injury suffered last season.
