Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing one of Brazilian’s hottest teenagers this summer, but face competition from Watford.
Reports in the South American press have claimed that the Reds are keen on Joao Pedro, with the 17-year-old having starred for Fluminense this term.
The rangy forward has only played two games for Fluminense at the start of this season, but astonishingly already has five goals.
Watford are believed to have already agreed a pre-contract with the youngster, but there is a clause in the deal which could see him join another side.
O Globo report that Liverpool are hoping to make the most of that loop-hole, but it would mean paying a fee to Watford to release him from that initial deal, and another fee to Fluminense.
Reports are both of those fees together could total €40m – a staggering amount for a player with only a couple of senior appearances.
