Liverpool and Everton have both been linked with a summer move for Real Sociedad defender Diego Llorente.

Llorente is a graduate of Real Madrid’s youth academy but moved to the Basque country in 2017 and has since become one of La Real’s most consistent performers.

The 25-year-old has started every match which he’s been fit for this term and has earned rave reviews for his awareness and attacking threat.

And now local paper Noticias de Gipuzkoa have claimed that both Merseyside clubs have been in touch with Real Sociedad enquiring after the player’s services.

Every professional in Spain’s top division has to have a release clause inserted into their contract, with Llorente sitting at €50m.

Gipuzkoa though, has insisted that the club would be willing to listen to offers of around €35m.
