Leeds have yet to string back-to-back wins together since the turn of the year but they’ll have a valuable chance to do just that and hold onto their automatic promotion place when they host Reading this weekend.
Though the prospect of two wins in a row is very exciting, Liam Cooper has warned his team-mates against becoming complacent and to forget about recent criticism ahead of Saturday’s game.
“It’s noise,” he said after Leeds United’s win over Bristol City. “I keep saying, we can only look at what’s in there. You’ve got to forget everything outside.
“I said a few weeks ago, you’re one pass away from getting a hammering now so we’ve just got to keep the lads upbeat, keep the way we play, keep the intensity and keep going.
“Momentum is massive in any league. You’ve got to go and put runs together.
“Hopefully the win is a turning point for us and we can go on a run now and keep that momentum because it’s massive for us.
“Like I say, we’ll keep approaching the games as we do and what will be, will be.”
With 13 games to play, Leeds are four points behind leaders West Brom and three points ahead of nearest chasers Fulham, who are also seven goals behind on goal difference.
