Sardar Azmoun has impressed on the world’s biggest stages and at just age 25, he still has plenty of time to become a star in one of Europe’s top-five leagues.

Azmoun has been a hit in Europe with both Rostov and Zenit and is already the fifth-highest scoring player in Iran history, bagging an impressive 32 goals in just 50 international caps.

While the two sides would like to pay a fee of around £13m (€15m) for the impressive Iranian, it’s believed Zenit will continue to push for a fee in the region of £30m (€35m).

Zenit signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with Zenit on deadline day in last year’s winter window, with the Russians paying just £10.5m (€12m) for his services.

This is the second time that Azmoun has been linked to a move to the Foxes, with reports in January 2018 suggesting he could make a Premier League move while he was still with Rubin Kazan.

Azmoun has been spectacular once again for Zenit this season, scoring 14 goals and supplying seven assists in 29 games in all competitions this season.
