Leicester City goalkeeper Danny Ward has heaped the praise onto manager Brendan Rodgers and claims he’s brought a ‘big-club mentality’ to the club.
Rodgers came over from Celtic after winning all seven possible domestic trophies available and sensationally has the Foxes in third place with just nine games to play in the Premier League campaign.
“He brought a refreshing atmosphere to the club at a time when we really needed it,” Ward said.
“It didn’t pan out too well under the previous manager which was a shame, but that’s football.
“Brendan’s come in with his staff and introduced a new way of playing, which we’ve all bought in to. I think he helped to bring a lot of lads out of their shells as well, giving them confidence and belief.”
With Champions League football seemingly on the horizon, Leicester’s number two goalkeeper is thrilled to be there despite not having made a single league appearance in nearly two years at the club.
The Wales international was brought in from Liverpool in a €14m move under Claude Puel and has made nine appearances in all competitions for the Foxes, allowing just four goals and earning six clean sheets.
