Leeds United coach Carlos Corberan will remain at Elland Road.
The 36-year-old was linked to the Cultural Leonesa manager job but the position has since been filled, as the Spanish third-division side have chosen to appoint Jose Manuel Aira.
Corberan was a huge part of Marcelo Bielsa’s backroom staff last season and also led the U-23s to win both their league title and the PDL play-off final.
Last month, Corberan revealed how much he admired Bielsa’s dedication to the team.
“Marcelo arrived here and the connection with the first-team, for the U-23s, they had an immediate connection.
“Everyday they are involved with his demands. Everyday they are training with high intensity.
“At the end, you have to start thinking of your ambitions and if the first-team is competing at a high level then you have to do the same as U-23s.
“The formation of our players is the same (as the first-team), we try to win every time. We try to develop the winning mentality of our players.
“They have shown they have developed this part. That is one of the keys in football.”
Corberan joined the Leeds U-23s in summer 2017 after a 15-match stint in charge of Cypriot side Ermis Aradippou.
