Leeds appear to be deadset on promotion to the Premier League.

The Lilywhites have been frantically searching for another goalkeeper since on-loan Chelsea goalkeeper Jamal Blackman broke his tibia in November, leaving Bailey Peacock-Farrell as their lone shot-stopper.

Though earlier reports had put Southampton’s Fraser Forster at Elland Road, the Yorkshire Evening Post’s Phil Hay is reported Friday night that Real Madrid’s Kiko Casilla will fly to England to have his medical early next week.

Leeds initially were set to sign Newcastle’s Karl Darlow, but the two sides could not come to an agreement on a deal.

The 32-year-old Casilla dropped to Madrid’s third-choice goalkeeper after they purchased Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea over the summer.

Behind both Courtois and Keylor Navas, Casilla has yet to appear in a single match for Los Blancos this season.

Casilla started his career at the Real academy before joining Espanyol in 2007, where he appeared 126 times in all competitions before returning to Real in 2015 in a €6m deal.

Casilla made 43 appearances in all competitions for Real Madrid, allowing 50 goals and earning 15 clean sheets.
