Two goals in the final six minutes propelled Leeds United to a 2-0 win over Barnsley and back to the top of the Championship.
The Whites seemed set for frustration at Oakwell until the game-changing introduction of Arsenal loanee Eddie Nketiah off the bench.
He first volleyed in the opener at the back post from a Kalvin Phillips free-kick on 84 minutes before winning a penalty shortly afterwards.
Mateusz Klich supplied the finish from the spot as Marcelo Bielsa’s men regained control of first place in the table.
But understandably afterwards, it was Nketiah who was the focus of the attention for the Argentine tactician.
“He’s a striker with goals in him. Some players are involved a lot before the finish, before the chance,” Bielsa said, quoted by Leeds Live.
“Nketiah is more involved at the end of the move, not in the creation.
“Anyway, he still has good characteristics in combining with team-mates. He’s a complete player and gives options to the team.”
With his strike against Barnsley, Nketiah has now taken his tally on loan to four goals.
