It’s thought that the Wales international will return to Merseyside at the end of the season however his chances of first team football at Anfield look slim.

As such, Jürgen Klopp’s side will likely allow the 21-year-old to leave again on loan for the 2019/20 campaign but want him to get some experience in the Premier League.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side hope they can persuade the Reds that they are the team to help develop Wilson, with the Sun on Sunday claiming that the Argentine tactician has been particularly impressed with his versatility and intelligence.

First though, the Elland Road outfit must earn promotion to the top-flight and were helped hugely on Friday with a stunning 4-0 win over West Brom.
