Leeds director gives fascinating insight into club's transfer strategy | OneFootball

Leeds sporting director Victor Orta has revealed how he is using an online ‘matchmaking platform’ to conduct transfer business.

Orta spent time in Barcelona this week at the Transferoom.com football summit alongside representatives from the likes of Juventus, Boca Juniors and Sevilla.

The Elland Road transfer guru has spoken for the first time about how he is using TransferRoom to connect directly with players  and chief executives who are looking for new clubs.

“It is definitely the future with more synergy between clubs,” said Orta.

“When clubs are sharing information in an honest way, TransferRoom can help clubs save a lot of time, which is very important both in football and in life.

“It is a very modern way of working.”

Leeds are currently third in the Championship, one point behind Sheffield United with eight games to play.
