The 29-year-old has confirmed he will swap Brazil for Japan in 2019
Brazilian striker Leandro Damião has confirmed he will be leaving his homeland for Japan in the new year.
The 29-year-old spent last season on loan at Internacional from parent side Santos, where he netted an impressive 10 goals in 20 appearances.
But having gone back to the Sao Paulo side at the end of the campaign and with his contract up, the goalscorer has been allowed to leave on a free.
And in a press conference Damião has confirmed that he will go to Japan in 2019 and join current J-League champions Kawasaki Frontale.
