According to Spanish media, Club América midfielder Guido Rodríguez plans to fly to Europe after the Liga MX campaign comes to an end.
Real Betis, who were interested over the summer, and Getafe are the two LaLiga clubs that are most primed to capture his signature.
It’s rumoured that Guido Rodríguez’s contract extension allowed his release clause to decrease from €13m to €7.2m, which better facilitates his dream move to Europe.
William Carvalho’s injury has forced Betis to move quickly to try to bring the 25-year-old in.
Meanwhile, Getafe are looking to strengthen their squad for their potential journey into the Europa League knockout stage, and manager José Bordalás is reportedly impressed by Rodríguez’s performances.
