Kylian Mbappé rubbishes reports of a rift with Edinson Cavani | OneFootball

Kylian Mbappé has hit back at reporters after rumours of a rift inside the Paris Saint-Germain dressing room emerged last month.

Stories from several sources in France claimed earlier in the campaign that a clique was forming between Kylian Mbappé and Neymar, with Edinson Cavani the odd man out.

The Uruguay international has been heavily linked with a move away from Parc des Princes in recent weeks with Atlético Madrid thought to be most interested in his services.

But Mbappé has insisted that the front three are getting on just fine and believes that journalists are creating a story out of nothing.

“I have the chance to play with two great players,” he told RMC.

“We’ve managed to blend together as a collective, and we when we get on together it’s great for the team as whole.

“These are players who have reached a stage where they have nothing more to prove to anyone.

“Edinson is the top scorer in the club’s history, Neymar is one of the best players in the world.

“People only talk because it sells [newspapers]. But the three of us know that we appreciate each other and we need each other to shine.”

PSG were supposed to be away at Dijon this weekend, but as with most Ligue 1 matches, have seen the fixture postponed due to the Gilet Jaune protests in France.
