Krzysztof Piątek has been one of football’s breakout stars this season, level with Cristiano Ronaldo with 19 Serie A goals, just one goal behind Sampdoria’s ageless wonder Fabio Quagliarella for the league lead.
In an interview with Tuttosport, Piątek admitted his love for Arsenal – something that will certainly raise some eyebrows amongst Gunners supporters.
“I loved the style of Wenger and I admired players like Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp,” admitted the Milan star.
Piątek then gave a rather bland answer when asked about the origins of his infamous pistolero celebration.
“I did it after that I scored a goal once and from that moment it remained the same.
“It’s a habit now and it brings good luck so I am not going to change it. I see people go crazy for this celebration here in Italy.”
Piątek will experience his first Milan derby this Sunday, having been sold from Genoa in the January window.
