Bayern Munich and France winger now a doubt for 2018 World Cup.

Kingsley Coman may have played his last match of the season after picking up an ankle injury in Bayern Munich’s 0-0 draw with Hertha Berlin, which ended their 14-match winning streak.

According to several sources, including L’Equipe, the forward is set to miss at the next two months after undergoing surgery.

Bayern boss Jupp Heynckes stated: “The capsule is torn, but the ligaments are stable, so you’ll have to see how that develops in the next few days.”

Coman came on in the 68th-minute for Franck Ribéry, and was not substituted as Bayern had used all three of their substitutions.

Coman will definitely miss the Champions League quarterfinals, provided they take care of business vs. Beskitas, and will have to rush to make the semifinals.

The 21-year-old has been a bright spot in Bayern’s lineup this season, scoring seven goals and providing eight assists in 32 matches.
