Kaku agent slams New York Red Bulls as transfer saga rolls on | OneFootball

The transfer saga surrounding Alejandro ‘Kaku’ Gamarra, New York Red Bulls and Club América has taken a fresh twist.

Gustavo Casasola – the agent of Kaku – has vented his frustration with the way negotiations have proceeded as talks continue to stall.

Casasola insists he was given a sale figure of $6.5m by Red Bulls director Oliver Mintzlaff, only for them to demand $12m later on.

“Mintzlaff is the one who arbitrarily makes decisions on everything but he never shows his face with us” he told Fox Deportes.

“It’s clear to see he must have somewhat of a problem to talk to me. Wherever he wants to speak, I’ll speak to him.

“My client wants to play for América. He wants to be treated well. He wants to feel better. He wants his family to be able to visit him.”

Kaku and the Red Bulls are currently in Florida as part of the club’s pre-season preparations.
