Juventus have made one final attempt to sign Matthijs de Ligt from Ajax with sporting director Pavel Nedved taking personal charge of negotiations.
De Ligt is one of the most sought-after players in Europe this summer and already has offers on the table from Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Manchester United.
But Tuttosport say that Juve have not given up hope of landing the teenager and will make a final play this week to land the hulking centre-back.
Their story indicates that Nedved will fly to Monaco to personally sit down with agent Mino Raiola and try to persuade the player and his agent that Turin is the right place for his development.
Conflicting reports from elsewhere in Europe say that PSG and Barcelona are the current favourites for his signature, but Tuttosport say that Juve are still in with a real chance of completing the deal.
