The idea would be to play Miralem Pjanic in a deeper role to make space on the pitch for another creative influence.

The men in the picture are said to be Mesut Özil, who is out of contract with Arsenal in the summer, and Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen.

Even though Özil will be available for free at the end of the season, there are high costs to consider in both cases.

In that of Özil, the German’s wage demands could prove too much for Juventus and their structure. The issue with Eriksen is that he would cost a lot of money; potentially somewhere between €60m and €70m.

Why Juventus feel they need another playmaker when they have Paulo Dybala is anyone’s guess but it’s certainly worth keeping an eye out for any developments.
