Reports out of Italy have Juventus linked with Newcastle United goalkeeper Martin Dúbravka.

The 29-year-old Slovakian international joined the Magpies on loan from Sparta Prague in January 2018 before making the move permanent over the summer.

He has established himself among the better goalkeepers in the Premier League over the past calendar year.

The shot-stopper has kept Newcastle in a number of contests so far this season with a highlight reel of impressive saves through just four months.

Calciomercato report that the Italian giants are evaluating Dúbravka for a move in the January transfer window.

Massimiliano Allegri and his staff are searching for an experienced goalkeeper to serve as a more reliable backup or even push current number one, Wojciech Szczęsny.

The Polish international joined the Bianconeri in July 2017 and spent his first season as an under-study to club legend Gianluigi Buffon.

Calciomercato report that Dúbravka was offered to Juventus and suggest that current backup Mattia Perin may be angling for first-team football away from Turin.

Newcastle manager Rafael Benítez will try to keep his goalkeeper at St James’ Park despite the allure of Juventus.
