Juventus are leading the race to sign highly-rated Benfica attacker João Félix, according to reports in Spain.

After signing Cristiano Ronaldo and João Cancelo last summer, Juve have an excellent relationship with Portuguese super-agent Jorge Mendes.

Mendes also happens to represent Félix and according to AS, Bianconeri sporting director Fabio Paratici recently informed Benfica’s president that they are willing to pay the 19-year-old’s €120m release clause in the summer.

Félix has drawn admiration from across the continent after scoring 11 goals for Benfica this season and a swathe of top European clubs are reportedly keeping tabs on his progress.

But at the moment, AS say Juventus are the only club willing to pay the young playmaker’s release clause and are hoping he will ignore interest from elswhere and move to Turin.

Italian outlet Tuttosport believe the Serie A champions are also interested in Benfica defender Rúben Dias.

The 21-year-old is valued at approximately €60m but his arrival at the Allianz Stadium could all depend on whether Fiorentina decide to make Marko Pjaca’s loan deal a permanent one at the end of the season.
