The Juventus squad have been given two days off as Serie A clubs prepare to play at Christmas for the first time.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side beat city rivals Torino on Friday and were at the training ground the following day for a recovery session.

However, they were then given Sunday and Monday off as Allegri wrestles with a tricky schedule.

The players will be back in training on Tuesday with their attention on facing Roma at the weekend.

After that, Juve must travel to Bergamo to face Atalanta next Wednesday (26th December) before hosting Sampdoria just three days later.

The majority of Serie A clubs then have a three-week break, not playing again until 20th January.

Though Juventus do also have a break, they’ll face AC Milan in Saudi Arabia in the Supercoppa Italiana on 16 January.

With a busy period ahead, no wonder Allegri has given his squad some down time.
