Emre Can has sent an ominous warning to the rest of Serie A after he claimed that Juventus can “improve a lot” despite being unbeaten so far this season.

The Bianconeri beat Chievo 3-0 on Monday to take their unbeaten start to 20 games and go nine points clear of Napoli at the top of the table.

However, the Germany international has insisted that his side are still nowhere near their best as the campaign heads into its second half.

“The most important thing was that we won the game,” he told Sky Italia.

“We scored three goals, had chances to score more, but we won and I’m pleased.

“We wanted to play, so we moved the ball right to left, back and forward until we scored. We want to play more football like that and it was good tonight.

“We can improve in a lot of situations, when we press high, but we work for that every day in training. Of course, we can improve a lot.”

Juve face Lazio at Stadio Olimpico on Sunday before travelling to Atalanta for a Coppa Italia quarter-final.
