Juventus clinch eighth straight Serie A title

A 2-1 win over Fiorentina saw Juventus seal their eighth Serie A title in a row on Saturday afternoon.

Alex Sandro and an own goal from Germán Pezzella handed the Bianconeri Scudetto glory with five matches remaining.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side have lost just twice in Serie A all season, including last week, when defeat to SPAL delayed their title celebrations.

Nonetheless, the Italian giants could still equal their own record for the most points in a Serie A season.

The tally of 102, set in 2013/14, will be equalled if the club win all of their remaining games.
