Corinthians will have 23 players available for the Clássico Majestoso on Sunday.

This weekend’s match against São Paulo will test Corinthians but manager Fábio Carille will have confidence in the squad at his disposal.

The highlight of the Timão ahead of the showdown at the Corinthians Arena in the Campeonato Paulista is the presence of Júnior Urso.

The 29-year-old midfielder was the team’s latest reinforcement for the 2019 campaign when he joined from Guangzhou R&F F.C.

Júnior could make his debut for Corinthians against a club that nearly recruited the player last month.

Two other notable changes to the Timão are the return to action of Danilo Avelar and the departure of Gabriel.

The club’s starting left-back missed Timao’s last match on Thursday in the Copa Sudamericana against Racing Club due to a prior suspension in that competition.

Corinthians’ 26-year-old midfielder Gabriel has been diagnosed with a problem in the adductor tendon of his right leg and will need surgery to resolve the issue. The player is tentatively scheduled to return in May.

Corinthians finished training in a closed-door session in their last day out before the clássico. Carille suggested in the press conference that the Alvinegra lineup will feature few tweaks, perhaps just the introduction of Avelar.
