Bayern Munich lost for the first time this season as Vedad Ibišević scored from the spot and Ondrej Duda netted just before half-time.
While not at their best, Bayern had chances to score but spurned the opportunities that came way, much to the frustration of Kimmich who also bemoaned the team’s current defensive frailties.
“I do not think that’s all bad luck,” the right-back said of the result.
“We also have to work it out again, because we do not take advantage of the multitude of opportunities we had and we made mistakes in the back,” he said.
On Saturday, Bayern now sit second in the Bundesliga table, a point behind new leaders Borussia Dortmund.
