John Terry linked with vacant Hearts managerial position

After sacking Craig Levein at the end of last month, Hearts have been searching high and dry for their next manager.

On Friday, a surprise name came to the forefront.

According to the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa assistant and Chelsea legend John Terry is now in the running to take over the vacant position.

Terry has been linked with several managerial jobs and is rumoured to have turned down the West Brom job over the summer, with Slaven Bilić filling in and guiding them to a first-placed start.

Former Birmingham City skipper Steve Cotterill is currently the favourite after he held talks with Hearts bosses in recent days.

Hearts are currently ninth in the Premiership table, winning just twice in their first 12 games of the season.
