At just 14 years old, Youssoufa Moukoko is already tearing it up with the Dortmund U-19s, scoring 15 goals in just seven games this season at a rate of 41 minutes-per-goal.

A first-team call-up seems like a matter of when, not if, and Moukoko has already caught the eye of one Germany manager Joachim Löw.

“I’ve been speaking to [BVBV U19 coach] Michael Skibbe for a while,” he said. “Everyone involved is well advised to wait and let him develop in peace.”

Skibbe added: “He’s so young and already so good. The boy will one day become a professional, that’s as sure as a prayer in the church.

“Only injuries can stop him. He’s got very good technique, speed, and finishes well. These are three strong qualities that come together.”

Moukoko has already been involved with Germany at the international level, scoring three goals in four appearances, but he could decide to represent Cameroon if he so pleases.
