Newcastle can turn Jetro Willems’ loan move into a permanent one, with a report in the German media revealing that the Toon will have to pay just €11m for the defender.
Willems has made a solid start to life at St James’ Park, playing in six games so far and scoring one of the goals of the season against Liverpool.
The 25-year-old has quickly become one of the pillars of Newcastle’s defence but had been due to go back to parent club Eintracht Frankfurt.
A story in Bild however has confirmed that a clause in his contract means that Steve Bruce’s side can sign the Netherlands international for just €11m.
Newcastle are back in Premier League action next weekend when they travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea.
