Real Madrid defender Jesús Vallejo has revealed how the club persuaded him to join Wolves this summer.
Vallejo is highly rated in Spain, but could benefit from regular football after making just five appearances last season.
Plenty of clubs were interested in signing him but the 22-year-old already believes he made the right decision.
“Real Madrid recommended me to come here because Wolves did an incredible job last season,” he told AS. “And I hope to do the same.
“My first days here have been incredible; with my team-mates, with the coach, with everybody who works here, and I’m very happy.
“I need now some days to training and I want to be with the group, playing as soon as possible.”
Vallejo could feature in their Europa League second-leg tie against Crusaders FC on Thursday.
