Fulham have sensationally beaten a host of top Premier League clubs to the signing of Nice midfielder Jean Michaël Seri.

The Ivory Coast international has been linked with some of the biggest teams in Europe over the past 18 months, with Arsenal and Chelsea believed to be in pole position for his signature.

The 26-year-old was spotted in London on Monday evening, confirming that he was looking set to join one of those two sides.

However, in a remarkable turn of events, it’s been revealed by Sky Sports Italia that is in fact the Cottagers who are set to land the midfiellder.

If true, it would be a remarkable coup for the west London who only returned to the Premier League this summer after four years away.

There are though, some suggestions to the contrary that claim the two teams have an agreement, but that Seri himself is not too interested in joining Slaviša Jokanović’s men.

Whatever happens, it looks as if he’ll certainly be leaving the south of France.
