You might recall that when Leicester were gunning for the Premier League title in their remarkable 2015/16 season, Jamie Vardy played for several weeks with a broken wrist.

Vardy broke two bones in his right wrist during a victory over Aston Villa in September 2015 and even after the injury had healed, the striker continued wearing the blue cast for the rest of the season for luck.

And now Vardy has revealed the culprit behind his sore arm.

Speaking on Match of the Day 2, former Villa defender Micah Richards remarked that Vardy was “an absolute nightmare” to mark that day.

To which Vardy replied: “If I’m being honest that game, it was his tackle that broke my wrist.”

Richards apologised and claimed not to remember, but Vardy didn’t seem to mind.

The Foxes hit-man went onto score 24 goals as Claudio Ranieri’s side clinched a mind-blowing title that season.

And his wrist is all better now.
