James Rodríguez believes Bayern’s bad phase has ‘gone’ following Saturday’s 3-1 win at Wolfsburg.

The German champions started the day languishing in seventh place in the Bundesliga and had not won in four matches.

However, Niko Kovač’s side claimed a convincing victory as Robert Lewandowski scored a brace before James made sure of the win.

Despite Arjen Robben’s sending off, the Bavarians rallied and the Colombian believes they have got over the bad spell and can now focus on building something good this season.

“In a long season these things always happen,” he told the Bundesliga’s official website.

“There are bad games, there are good games. This bad phase has already gone. Now comes something good.

“Hopefully the Wolfsburg win will boost our morale for the coming games. I think it’ll do us good.”

Coach Kovač, who has been under mounting pressure at the Allianz Arena, added: “Firstly I want to congratulate the team, we were under a lot of pressure all game.

“It was a solid effort from the lads, especially with a man down. I expect everyone to give their all for the club, and they did that today. We deserved to win.”
