With his goal in Corinthians’ 3-1 win over Ceara in the first leg of the Copa do Brasil third round, Jádson reached 50 goals in the alvinegro, putting him in the top-50 scorers in club history.

He is now tied for 48th place all-time with four other players.

“It’s a source of great pride reach such a large number like this, especially with Corinthians,” the number 10 said.

“Everyone knows the love I have for the club and I am very happy.

“I hope to score many more this year and help Corinthians win more titles.

After missing the last five games with pain in both knees, Jádson came on for Junior Sonorza and scored just five minutes after coming on.

“I am very happy to be able to do what I like best, which is to play. I had the opportunity to come in and help the team to achieve this important victory.”

The second leg will take place on 3 April. Corinthians will host Oeste in the Campeonato Paulista this Sunday.
