Borussia Dortmund and England winger Jadon Sancho would be happy to return to Manchester City, according to reports on Wednesday.

Sancho is a former star of City’s youth academy but left the club in the summer of 2017 after growing frustrated by a lack of first-team opportunities.

The 18-year-old has been in outstanding form for Borussia Dortmund this season and recently picked up the Bundesliga’s October Player of the Month award.

He has also drawn rave reviews for his performances for the England national team, leading many to question why City boss Pep Guardiola didn’t do more to keep the winger in Manchester.

But it seems there is a possibility the Londoner could one day don a sky blue shirt again.

According to Bleacher Report, if Sancho ever leaves Dortmund, the Premier League champions will have first option on his signature. This means that if another club were to have a bid accepted for his services, City would be able to jump the queue and buy him back at the same price.

Furthermore, Bleacher Report claim Sancho bears no grudge against City and would be open to returning to the Etihad Stadium were the opportunity to ever present itself.

The teenager has scored five goals and assisted eight others in 17 appearances in all competitions for BVB this season and is surely in no rush to leave the Westfalenstadion any time soon.

But if he does leave one day, the German giants are sure to make a tidy profit. Sancho cost just €8m when Dortmund signed him but according to reports last month, the club now value him at upwards of €100m.
