West Ham will be without Jack Wilshere for their trip to Everton this weekend.

Wilshere hasn’t trained for two days after picking up an ankle knock, report the Evening Standard. The severity of the injury isn’t yet known.

A summer signing from Arsenal, Wilshere has a long history with injuries but went through last season without being sidelined.

The former England midfielder has been on a special training regime since joining the Hammers and has started in all four of their Premier League games up to now.

West Ham have not picked up a point yet this season and Wilshere’s absence only damages their hopes of changing that against Everton.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side will also be without Javier Hernández on Saturday. The Mexico striker has been ill and was kept away from the rest of the squad during the week.
