The future of Spanish football is looking very bright indeed if this weekendâs LaLiga promises tournament is any indication.
LaLiga Promises describes itself as the most important U-12 tournament in the world and every year, all top 20 Spanish top flight clubs send a young team to compete in it.
It usually produces some lovely goals and this year is no exception.
How about this one from Patrick Kluivertâs son Shane, who plays for Barcelonaâs youth team âŠ
Then thereâs this super turn and finish from Real Madridâs Manuel Ordóñez.
And this long-range banger from Barcelonaâs clash with Real Betis.
How about this for an unfortunate rebound off the bar?
Barcelonaâs Landry CĂ©phas sure takes a mean free-kick.
And heâs not bad in the air either.
Thereâs been some great goalkeeping on show too.
Which was better? đ± đ The backheel shot â€ïž The flying save #LaLigaPromises Santander âÂ
Villarrealâs Marc Chiva has a promising future ahead of him if this goal is anything to go off.
As does Barçaâs Gibert Jordana.
Day two of the tournament produced this exquisite team move from Levanteâs youngsters.
This might be the best goal of them all, from Sevillaâs Ibra Sow. Wouldnât fancy marking him at a corner.
IBRA scores a goal Zlatan would have been proud of! †@SevillaFC_ENG †#LaLigaPromises Santander âÂ
How about this for a cool Panenka penalty?
This Lamine Yamal banger nearly ripped the net off.
This last gasp winner in the Madrid derby is sheer insanity. The goalkeeper probably wonât want to see it again, though.
Thatâs all from day one and two so far, but the quarter-finals are sure to produce plenty more highlights so stay tuned.
