David Silva may have played his last game for Manchester City following a lucrative offer from Qatar.

That’s according to The Sun, who report on Sunday that Silva is mulling over a £6m-a-year tax-free offer from a Qatari club and could be set to end his nine-year stay at the Etihad Stadium.

They quote a club source as saying: “It would be a real shock if David does leave but he has had a great offer and is thinking it over hard. At the moment he’s more likely to go than stay.”

And if the 33-year-old Spaniard does leave, The Sun claim City are likely to replace him with Youri Tielemans, who is valued at approximately £40m.

Tielemans spent last season on loan at Leicester from Monaco and Pep Guardiola is said to have been hugely impressed with the 22-year-old’s performance when the Foxes visited the Etihad earlier this month.

Arsenal and Tottenham are also understood to be interested in the Belgian international.

Meanwhile, if Silva has already pulled on a City shirt for the last time, the club’s supporters will be heartbroken to see the back of another bona fide living legend.

The former Valencia man joined shortly after Spain’s 2010 World Cup triumph and went on to help City to four Premier League titles, two FA Cups and four League Cups during his time in Manchester.

The playmaker is still under contract until next summer and speaking to Spanish radio station Onda Cero recently, he said: “I’ve got a year left here.

“I’ve always said that I’ve wanted to play for Las Palmas but when next season finishes I’ll see.

“I’ll consider what I have left to give, what I want to do and what will be best.”
