Inter are reportedly ready to give Manchester United outcast Alexis Sánchez an escape route from Old Trafford this summer.

Alexis made just 20 Premier League appearances last season and has slowly found himself marginalised under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

According to Sky Italy, Nerazzurri representatives are in London to negotiate a deal for the 30-year-old who is ‘open to joining’ the club.

It’s understood that Inter want to sign Alexis on a free transfer in order to meet his significant salary, which could also help United – who also want him off their wage bill.

If United did sanction a sale, it would leave them with Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood as the only strikers in their squad.

Should negotiations fall through, Inter are also considering free agent Fernando Llorente, Ante Rebić from Eintracht Frankfurt and Arkadiusz Milik.
