Ivan Rakitić will reportedly leave Barcelona at the end of the season with the midfielder ready to make a move to Inter.
The Croatia international has been one of the most-used players by Ernesto Valverde over the past couple of seasons and had rejected a chance to leave Camp Nou last summer when Paris Saint-Germain came calling.
Rakitić opted to stay with the Blaugrana and wanted to sign a new, long-term deal in the Catalan capital.
But the club have decided not to offer the 31-year-old the kind of contract he wants moved to sign Frenkie De Jong in January as his replacement.
As such, Barça have since been on the hunt for a buyer, and according to Gazzetta dello Sport,s at down with Inter last week to start negotiations.
It’s claimed that a deal worth €40m will likely be agreed in the coming weeks with the midfielder giving the green light to the move.
